  • 2.- Cultural interactions

As we visit Italy, as a matter of course, we are the foreigners. Italians are very nice and accommodating. They love people in general, but learning a few basic phrases will go a long way.

When you arrive at Villa Martiena, we will give you a crash course of Italian phrases for basic communication and pleasantry exchanges during your stay.

  • 3.- The Tuscany My Way Experience

There are plenty of sights to see, history galore, as well as points of interest every inch of Tuscany. Following dinner at the villa, we will discuss plans to maximize the time to each of the towns during the next day’s visit.

  • 4.- Photography

Please enjoy life and the beauty of the towns, let the photos to us. As we are visiting towns, we will be taking pictures of the group, couples and individuals of your experiences, we will then share them through Google drive which you can later download all your favorites.

  • 5.- Tipping

Tips and gratuities for villa staff are not part of the tour, although not required, they are encouraged. Tips are always at the discretion of each guests depending on the level of service received by the staff.

  • 6.- Miscellaneous expenses

Lunches are always on your own during your stay. We have found that doing a formal lunch with a group takes too much time and negates the reason to be there. We suggest to eat very lightly since our dinners are very heavy in nature. Buy a slice of pizza, or a small panino (sandwich) to tie you over in the event you get hungry during our visits.

In closing

As with any travel there might be situations outside our control that might necessitate to change our program. In the event of changes, we will communicate immediately to our guests so that they are aware of the change, at the same time provide the alternative plan.

We have worked diligently updating our home, facilities, landscape, etc to provide a great experience.

It is with passion and dedication from our last 30 years in a service environment that led us to want to provide others with lasting memories through our hospitality, friendship, and shared experiences of the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
